12/27/2023 0 Comments Modern house design philippines![]() In the Philippines, the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City is a popular example of Expressionist Modern architecture. Unlike the other forms of Modern architecture that try to avoid overtly decorative elements, Expressionist architecture takes inspiration from the other visual arts, using then-new materials and techniques to create buildings that do not resemble the stereotypical rectangles and boxes of Modern architecture. Expressionistĭeveloped around the 1920s and continuing through the 1960s, this style takes the minimalist forms of the International style and uses it to create buildings that could also be considered to be sculpture. It’s known for its use of clean lines and curves and the very studied use of proportions. It was a logical progression of the Functionalist design movement, and nearly all the simple block buildings that you see today are in some way influenced by this movement from over 90 years ago. Often considered to be a sub-style of International architecture, this highly influential German style was developed in the 1920s. It’s known for its clean lines and heavy Bauhaus and De Stijl design influences. A number of post-WW1 architects and designers from Europe and the United States are often identified with the International style, including Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Jacobus Oud, Le Corbusier, Richard Neutra, and Philip Johnson. The International Style was a number of styles developed in the 1920s that prefigures more familiar Modernist styles. Here are some of the most-discussed Modernist styles today. Popular styles of Modern ArchitectureĪ large number of styles fall under the Modern architecture umbrella, and most of these styles also have their prominent regional variants and sub-styles. The Philippines is home to a large number of Modern architecture masterpieces built throughout the entirety of the 20 th century. ![]() The look and feel of Modernist structures continue to be influential in Contemporary architecture, and most new buildings and houses are built using materials and ideas first developed in the early period of the Modernist movement, albeit with new tools and materials, such as computer-aided design and lightweight tube frames. ![]() ![]() However, it laid the groundwork for both those families of styles. Modern architecture as a movement has already been superseded by the Postmodern and Contemporary architecture movements. The highly influential Chicago School of architects and urban planners was composed of luminaries such as Louis Sullivan and Dankmar Adler, the “Fathers of the Skyscraper”, and partners John Wellborn Root and Daniel Burnham, the latter of whom was especially important for the development of Philippine Modern architecture. While the origins are complex and disputed, it’s generally agreed that the first identifiably “Modern” structures built to underlying Modernist principles were first conceptualized and erected by members of the so-called Chicago School, in the late 1800s. The latter movements came about in an era with new technologies and a better understanding of how a human being in the present day may want to work, live, and play without creating a huge negative impact on the environment. While often very similar-looking with Postmodern and Contemporary architecture, Modern architecture tends to lack the understanding of human psychology and emphasis on sustainability that defines the more recent movements. Contemporary architecture is just a catch-all term that covers all relevant architecture trends and styles in the present day. Postmodern architecture refers to a family of expressive, human-oriented styles that originated in the 1960s and peaked in the 1980s, and continues to the present day. While often confused with Contemporary and Postmodern architecture, Modern architecture, strictly speaking, only covers styles from the late 19 th century to the late 20 th century. Modern architecture is incredibly diverse, and most styles are characterized by a functionalist approach and the use of materials that became widely available in the aftermath of the Industrial Revolution, notably steel, glass, and reinforced concrete. Modern architecture, also known as Modernist architecture, covers a vast array of architectural styles and movements that emerged from around the late 1880s and ending around the year 2000. Another study showed that fear of fall decreases after conducting a fall-prevention exercise program ( Kang, 2016), whereas a contradictory study reported no effectiveness of the program towards fear of fall ( Shin, Kim, Kang, & Yeo, 2016). One study reported that fear of fall decreases with increasing knowledge and efficacy in preventing falls ( Kwon, 2010). However, strong fears could result in older adults avoiding activities they are capable of performing, thereby weakening them and increasing the risk of fall and a decrease in the quality of life ( Chang, 2009 Jung, Lee, & Chung, 2006). One of the negative impacts of a fall, the fear of fall ( Lee & Kim, 2011), can help older adults avoid a risk of falls to a certain degree. A study by Jang and Song (2015) reports that factors influencing fall-prevention behaviors are subcategories of health belief on fall these include perceived fall risk, perceived benefit, and efficacy of fall-prevention behaviors ( Jang & Song, 2015). Studies have also investigated the effect of health belief on fall-prevention activities amongst nurses and caregivers ( Jung, Park, & Jung, 2015 Park & Kim, 2014). Health belief on fall is a protective predictive factor of fall-prevention behaviors ( Jo, Kim, Lee, & Jeong, 2004). These studies indicate that adequate knowledge of fall has a key role in preventing falls among the elderly. Studies for nurses and caregivers also reported similar findings ( Kim & Eun, 2014 Yoo, 2017). Prior studies regarding fall prevention behaviors have shown that fall-related knowledge is positively associated with fall-prevention among older adults ( Hwang & Shin, 2013 Yoo, Jeon, & Kim, 2013). However, since it is a preventable occurrence rather than an unfortunate accident ( Kim & Eun, 2014), it is important to focus on fall-prevention. Falls may be accompanied by numerous problems including serious injuries, decreased daily activities, fear of fall, loss of self-confidence, activity intolerance, decreased quality of life ( Deshpande et al., 2008), and even death due to associated complications (Tinetti, 2002). This indicates that a fall is a common accident among older adults. Increased health care costs are majorly due to treatments for safety-related accidents, especially falls 25.1% of the elderly experienced a fall in the past year, and hospitalization was required in 63.4% of these cases due to injuries resulting from the fall ( Ministry of Health Welfare, 2014). The growth of senior citizens results in increased health care costs towards this population the health care cost for citizens above 65 years was 38.7% of the health care cost for the entire population, and on an average, one elder spends three times more on health care expenses than an individual ( National Health Insurance Service, Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service, 2016). Korea has the highest growing rate of the elderly, with the population of 65 years or more being 13.8% of the entire population in 2017, and projected at 41.0% in 2060 ( Statistics Korea, 2017). 12/26/2023 0 Comments Clicker heroes mobile guide![]() Get the basic masteries all level up to help boost this champion efficiency in clearing maps.Get this champion to 6* and level up to Level 60 so he can help you clear all Campaign modes and farm Champion fodders.Equip your starting champion with LifeSteal set and Speed Set for better survivability.Do not fight the wrong difficulty clan bosses to avoid wasting keys. ![]()
